Review: Rimmel Apocalips (Australian Colours)

I have been waiting for the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquer's to arrive in Australia for a very long time. They released in England early this year and a massive hype quickly surrounded them in the beauty blogger and youtube community. After a few months, they've finally been released in Australia!

I currently own 3 colours. Two from the Australian range and one from Britain.
Phenomenon - peachy nude
Apocaliptic - raspberry pink
Big Bang - vibrant red (This colour was not released in Australia. My Aunt Katherine very kindly sent some products for me while my Grandmother was on holiday in England. Thank you!)
Big Bang
Apocaliptic
Phenomenon

Pros:
The Lip Laquer's are opaque, long-wearing with a nice enough watermelon-ish smell. They're not too tacky on the lips but if you don't like lipglosses in general then you probably won't like these. They are reasonably priced at AU$16 each but I picked them up at Priceline in a 50% off Rimmel sale. The colours available are really nice. There are a few nudes, a couple of pinks and oranges and a mauve. As you can see below, they do stain your lips. It's great if you're wearing them for a whole night out... not so great if you're trying to do multiple swatches! Ha!
Staining!
Phenomenon, Apocaliptic, Big Bang
Cons:
Because they are a lip gloss style formula they do tend to slip around quite a bit. I found they rose up around my lip and transferred very easily. They also transferred onto my lips which is not something that usually happens to me, also the dome foot applicator makes the vibrant colours very hard to apply neatly. After 3 or 4 hours I found that my lips began to peel and get a little sore. I wasn't feeling too flash that day which would be a contributing factor, but if you do have sensitive lips test these out before buying them if you can. Finally, the nude its a lovely colour but not opaque and a hard colour to pull off. For me, I would need to blank out my lips with foundation or wear a colour underneath.

Final Verdict:
I really like these lip glosses but I don't find myself gravitating towards them on a day-to-day basis. However, for a night out or a party these looIf you're not into lip glosses then these probably will not appeal to you at all. I'm glad I bought them and will love using them but I will probably not purchase any more.
