Everyday makeup routine - May 2013

This is a look that I sport almost day-to-day. Concealer, winged eyeliner, a little colour on the lips and cheeks and I'm off to university or work.

Starting off bare faced I apply Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Primer all over the face. I'm really enjoying this primer at the moment. When I was at the NP counter I was really sceptical when the sales woman was telling me about how it has Chamomile extract and Vitamin E to help calm and prep the skin. But since using it everyday over the passed two weeks, I really understand what she's saying. It really is soothing on the skin.

Then I take my preferred base of the day. Today I used Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser just because sometimes I like to mix it up. Depending on my skin and my mood I'll either go with with no base, tinted moisturiser or foundation. You know, just to keep myself on my toes.

I've also mixed in a little drop of MAC Strobe Lotion to make the skin appear more radiant. After that I apply Napoleon Perdis The One concealer under the eyes. Its a salmon based corrector aimed to correct purple undertones. I have quite dark under eye circles and their probably what I'm most aware of on my face when leaving the house without makeup. A TINY amount goes a long way! So dab the end of a concealer brush in the pot so lightly you don't even think you've touched it and blend that in. You'll be amazed.

 The rest of my makeup is pretty straight forward. Conceal the blemishes, run a little Omega through the brows, and dust a little colour on my eyes. I focus the Inglot eyeshadow in the first half of the eye and Tease through the second half.

I line my eyes with a classic flick more often then not these days. I think its really flattering and accentuates my eye shape. I line until just at the end of my eye then angle the brush out on the same angle as the the bottom lashline and just keep adding until I'm satisfied that both eyes match (sometimes it can get quite thick haha). Apply mascara and the eyes are finito.

Lastly I dust a bit of NARS Laguna across my cheeks. I don't usually wear bronzer as blush, but today it's quite drab outside and I wanted my face to look a little sun-kissed despite the weather.
