July Favourites! 2013

Hello! Sorry that this is a bit late! July has been a massive month for me! I've been travelling for almost half the month. First visiting family and then off to Melbourne for a romantic getaway with my lovely man! Because of this I've bought a fair amount this month but not really used it enough to make it into my favourites video. wah. So, let me show you my little pile of favourites that I have been LOVING this July.

Not Your Mother's Hair Styling

There's a little story about how I came about this brand. My mum owns a town house in Katanning (3 hours south of Perth, Western Australia) and because she lives so far away, I go down every 3-6 months to catch up and spend some quality time with my mummy. With a population of 4000 you can imagine it is a quaint little town.

Review: Rimmel Apocalips (Australian Colours)

I have been waiting for the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquer's to arrive in Australia for a very long time. They released in England early this year and a massive hype quickly surrounded them in the beauty blogger and youtube community. After a few months, they've finally been released in Australia!

Top 5 LUSH products!

LUSH cosmetics is a company that I have grown to know and trust. The company strives to produce "effective products from fresh* organic* fruit and vegetables, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics." (lush.com.au, 2013) Growing up, I was intstilled with the outlook that using natural products that mother nature has provided is a safer and smarter way of living (thanks mum). That, and I had very sensitive skin growing up, and still do, so using harsh, cheap chemicals was not an option.

June Favourites 2013

|
June has been a big month for me. I've finished up my fifth semester at university and I'll be honest it was not my favourite. I do not have a brain for accounting! Other than that, June has been a wonderful month. I've made some new friends and re-kindled friendships I thought I'd lost, I've been motivated to exercise more and, of course, I've had some favourite products.

Michael Todd Review: 4 Weeks

I've had a month to really get to know the Michael Todd range. I've been using the eye cream, facial cleanser, toner and moisturiser everyday. Here are my thoughts...

Romantic, youthful 'No Makeup' makeup

I've bought some new products in the last few days and I really wanted to have a good go of them. This is a look that I'm really pleased with because I feel like it really plays up my features and romanticises them.

May Beauty Favourites 2013

Sorry this is so late posted! It's my final week at uni and I have been in assignment overload!
May is one of my favourite months of the year. I could talk forever about how nice autumn is and the fashion, but really, I just love it because my birthday is in May.

Michael Todd Review: 3 days in! (Hydrated Skin: An Epic Journey Part 1)

I know the title of this blog post is a tad dramatic but I really am on an epic journey to find a skincare routine that will keep my skin clear, healthy and hydrated through the winter months. I'm hoping I've hit the jackpot, found the damsel in distress and I'm now heading back to my glorious castle of healthy glowing skin to live happily ever after. Share this journey with me.
Michael Todd: Sensitive Dry Skin Care Regimen:
Okay, so I did a bit of research on some other people's reviews of the MT products and decided the Sensitive Dry Regimen sounded closest to my needs. My package only came into my greedy hands on Friday, so this is my third night of using the products.

Autumn Lips using Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush!

With my pale skin and blonde hair I've never been much for vampy lips. Mostly I was just scared of how to pull them off. I was in high school when that whole 'emo' phase got popular, so the idea of wearing vampy lips just made me cringe from memories of girls with panda eyes and cheap, thick lipstick that just looked terrible!

Mani's for dummy's: Rose gold and turquoise nails

Turquoise and any precious metals is a combo I always love!

Everyday makeup routine - May 2013

This is a look that I sport almost day-to-day. Concealer, winged eyeliner, a little colour on the lips and cheeks and I'm off to university or work.

First impressions: Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman!

Real Techniques brushes are something I'd been admiring online for about a year now. Living in Australia, the only place to physically purchase is from a very overpriced Priceline (the sets are $40 each). So, when I was given some money for my birthday I decided to invest!

Ode to the first post.

I'm sitting here trying to think of what to write on my first blog post. How ironic, I want to write a beauty blog and put my opinions out there to the world when suddenly! I can't muster a single opinion between my ears.
