June has been a big month for me. I've finished up my fifth semester at university and I'll be honest it was not my favourite. I do not have a brain for accounting! Other than that, June has been a wonderful month. I've made some new friends and re-kindled friendships I thought I'd lost, I've been motivated to exercise more and, of course, I've had some favourite products.
I'll talk about the oddest June favourite first! As you might notice, there's a Nivea Deodorant hanging out in the front of the picture above. Haahaha. As my family and friends will probably know, I had a bad reaction to a deodorant I used back in May and ended up with excema under my arms. I have quite a bad reaction to shampoos with sulfates in them and I'm thinking this reaction was due to the sulfates in the deodorant I used. So, this month I've been using this super sensitive no parabens, no perfume, no nothing deodorant and it's been working just fine. I just thought it would be nice to mention this in my favourites in case there are other people suffering the same way and finding it hard to get deodorant.
One last non-beauty favourite! I have been on the hunt for a mint-chocolate hot chocolate for a while. This is a lot harder than you would think in Australia. But I finally found these Jarrah Limited Edition Mint Madness sachets at a small coles over in the middle of nowhere. I immediately picked to packets up, but I haven't seen any since! If you see any, make sure you let me know!
Let's move on to the normal beauty favourites! I think my favourite product this month has to be my new MAC lipstick in Flamingo. It's from the All About Orange collection and I'd been eyeing it off for a while but I thought it was fairly generic and there would be loads of dupes for it. So I went looking for dupes on the internet and no one could find any! At this point I just thought "If I dont buy this lipstick, I'll be really annoyed!" I went onto maccostmetics.com.au and it was sold out! So the next day I practically ran into my local MAC counter and they still had it (hooray)! It's a beautiful pinky coral colour, but because it's a Lustre it's really sheer and really wearable. I am absolutely in love with it at the moment! If you're interested in a swatch, take a look at My Favourite Lipsticks post.
The Lemonade Lanolips has been essential in my handbag this month. The winter air has made my lips a little chapped and this is so soothing. It smells just like lemonade and is really quick to make your lips soft again. If you're interested in buying this get it from Priceline for $8 because chemists sell it for almost double the price at $13!
My friend, Eloise introduced my to the next product. The Tony and Guy Classic Shine Gloss Serum is a cheap alternative to some of the other more expensive hair serums on the market. I'm no expert, but I think this one works pretty fabulously too, so I'm happy to continue using this. You take a tiny amount, rub it over your fingers and run it through your hair. It makes it look so shiny, smooth and healthy!
The Fudge Urban Hairspray is pretty fabulous. I bought it about 3 months ago, and it's been great. It smells amazing and doesn't leave my hair crunchy. I like to use it to put a little texture in my hair or I spray it onto my hair brush and brush through heat-styled curls to hold them.
Finally, my favourite Benefit products of the month! Benefit Hervana Blush and Fake Up! I never thought that I would buy this blush -especially not in Australia! ($51 is a bit steep!) But I had a gift voucher for Myers and I decided to just go ahead and buy it one day and I am so glad that I did. I have worn it every day since I bought it. It's a perfect pink, natural flush. It works well with almost every look and I simply cannot get enough of it. (Spoilers if you're reading this mum!) I'm also thinking of using this blush on my mum on her wedding day!
The Fake Up is another product that I've used every day since I've bought it. It is the most amazing concealer! It barely creases under my eyes (If I set it, it doesnt crease at all) and I can use it on its own or on top of the Napoleon Perdis The One salmon corrector.
Are any of these your favourite products? Are there some better products I should be using? I love trying knew products! I'm going to Melbourne at the end of July with my boyfriend and I'll be doing lots of shopping while I'm over there. Are there any products/shops you recommend I go to/try? I've never been to Melbourne before. Very excited!
Try Benefit Erase Paste concealer, it doesn't crease or make the skin look dull underneath.
